1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InceNar ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

InceNar is a digital marketplace connecting independent authors with readers. We provide tools for publishing, selling, and purchasing digital books, as well as community features including:

  • BreakOuts - Community feed for industry news, job posting and author posts
  • Library & Reading - Digital reading with streak tracking

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Author Terms

Authors retain copyright to their works. By uploading content, you grant InceNar a non-exclusive license to distribute and sell your books on the Platform. Authors receive royalties on net sales revenue at the configured rate. InceNar retains a platform fee.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring their content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable laws.

5. Community Features (BreakOuts)

  • BreakOuts posts by authors are visible to all users. Users may engage via replies and likes.
  • You may block other users from interacting with your content at any time via your account settings.
  • You may not use community features to harass, spam, or post prohibited content.
  • InceNar reserves the right to remove any post that violates these Terms.

6. Purchases and Refunds

All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of our products, we do not offer refunds except in cases of technical defects that prevent access to purchased content.

7. Prohibited Content

You may not post, upload, or transmit content that is:

  • Illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Spam, phishing, or malware
  • Harassment or targeted abuse of other users
  • Content you do not have rights to distribute

InceNar reserves the right to remove any content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Storage Subscriptions

Authors may purchase storage subscriptions (Basic, Pro, Unlimited) to upload books and access premium features. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled. No refunds for partial months. Downgrading a plan takes effect at the next billing cycle.

9. Limitation of Liability

InceNar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new terms on this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. API Usage

InceNar offers a public REST API for developers to integrate book data, embed readers, and receive webhooks. Use of the API is subject to the following:

  • You must register for a developer account at dev.incenar.com and obtain a valid API key.
  • API keys are personal and may not be shared or exposed in client‑side code.
  • Usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension.
  • You may not use the API to circumvent purchase requirements or scrape content for unauthorized redistribution.
  • We reserve the right to revoke API access for violations of these terms.
